BENIK AFOBE has been caught in the middle of a hacking plot involving a 16-year-old girl.
The Wolves striker has been accused of inviting the girl to his hotel room on social media behind his wife and child’s back.
Afobe, 25, was completely unaware that the messages were being sent.
While the Wolves team celebrated being crowned Championship title winners, the striker’s representatives were forced to deny Afobe’s involvement.
Reported by the Mirror, they claimed that his social media accounts had been “operating suspiciously” for several weeks.
It has been reported that the girl first received messages shortly after her 16th birthday where she received a compliment on a picture and asked how old she was.
Afobe’s account also invited her back to his hotel room in Bolton following a league match.
The report also claims that the girl told her mum and teachers: “I just wanted to stop it happening to anyone else.”
Her mum also revealed how her husband wanted to confront Afobe directly.

She added: “My husband was disgusted, he wanted to drive to Wolves and confront Benik. I said he should have got into the taxi he wanted to send for my daughter.”
Afobe’s social media accounts have now been reset.
