BENIK AFOBE has passed his medical and completed a £12.5million return to Wolves.

The newly promoted Premier outfit club triggered their option to re-sign Afobe after the hitman scored six goals in seven starts during a successful six-month loan spell from Bournemouth.

The striker left Wolves for £10million to become the Cherries’ record signing in January 2016 – but only scored 10 Premier League goals in three seasons with Eddie Howe’s side.

However the former Arsenal kid seized his second opportunity at Molineux last season as he helped fire Nuno Esperito Santos’ side back to the top flight.

Wolves are looking to bolster their squad in a bid to ensure Premier League survival.

The Portuguese manager is wasting no time in the transfer market and is also due to complete the £10m permanent signing of Willy Boly after activating the right to buy the French centre-back from Porto.

Boly played a huge role in their promotion charge with a number of solid displays after joining on-loan a year ago.

The 27-year-old made 37 appearances and became a firm fan favourite.

Porto’s director of communications Francisco Marques confirmed a deal has now been “activated” to O Jogo.

He said: “And 12 million (Euros) from Boly, because Wolverhampton have already activated the option…”

Wolves have also agreed to sign Portuguese winger Diogo Jota from Atletico Madrid
